Tracks Darlington, a music collective of which I am a part, were recently invited to curate and host an event within the Paines Plough Roundabout, an incredibly unique pop-up theatre-in-the-round which tours the country, and would be in town for a weekend.
In our ongoing mission to address the underrepresentation of females in the music industry, we created Womenfolk, a female-focused event showcasing some wonderful local musicians. Emily Whitfield, Girl From Winter Jargon, Eve Conway & Samantha Durnan treat us to a delicate evening of melodious acoustics and soulful harmonies. All of this within such a striking, intimate venue, which created a really special atmosphere.
